Complete guide to managing businesses in LuaBeans - Community Manager.

Overview

URL: /admin/businesses

Access: Admin only

Purpose: Manage business departments and organizations

Features

Business List

View all businesses with:

• Business name

• Business type

• Owner information

• Member count

• Status

Business Actions

Available actions:

• Create new business

• Edit business settings

• Delete business

• Manage business hierarchy

• Assign owners

Business Search

Search businesses by:

• Name

• Type

• Owner

• Status

Usage

Viewing Businesses

1. Go to Admin → Businesses

2. Browse the business list

3. Use search to find specific businesses

Creating Businesses

1. Click Create Business

2. Fill in business information:

   • Name

   • Type (e.g., "Restaurant", "Store", "Service")

   • Description

   • Owner (Discord user)

3. Configure settings:

   • Discord role (optional)

   • Permissions

4. Save business

Editing Businesses

1. Go to business list

2. Click Edit on a business

3. Modify business settings

4. Save changes

Deleting Businesses

1. Go to business list

2. Click Delete on a business

3. Confirm deletion

Warning: Deleting a business will remove all memberships and related data.

Basic Information

• Name - Business display name

• Type - Business category/type

• Description - Business description

• Owner - Primary business owner

Discord Integration

• Discord Role - Role for business members (optional)

• Owner Role - Role for business owners

Permissions

Configure business permissions:

• Member management

• Department access

• Business-specific features

Business Hierarchy

Parent Businesses

Businesses can have parent organizations:

• Support for business hierarchies

• Chain stores or franchises

• Corporate structures

Troubleshooting

Business Not Showing

Issue: Business doesn't appear in list

Solutions:

1. Check business exists in database

2. Verify filters aren't hiding it

3. Check business settings

4. Refresh page

Cannot Delete Business

Issue: Delete action fails

Solutions:

1. Verify business has no members

2. Check for dependent data

3. Remove all memberships first

4. Check console logs for errors
