Complete guide to viewing and managing audit logs in LuaBeans - Community Manager.

Overview

URL: /audit or /admin/audit

Access: Admin and department leaders (department-specific logs)

Purpose: Track system activity and user actions

Features

Audit Log View

View audit logs with:

  • Action type and description

  • User who performed action

  • Timestamp

  • Department (if applicable)

  • Additional details

Log Filtering

Filter logs by:

  • Action type

  • User

  • Department

  • Date range

  • Time period

Search logs by:

  • Action description

  • Username

  • User ID

  • Department name

Usage

Viewing Audit Logs

  1. Go to AdminAudit Logs

  2. Or navigate to /audit

  3. Browse the log list

  4. Use filters to narrow results

Filtering Logs

  1. Use filter dropdowns:

    • Action Type - Filter by action

    • User - Filter by user

    • Department - Filter by department

    • Date Range - Filter by date

  2. Apply filters

  3. View filtered results

Searching Logs

  1. Use search bar

  2. Type search query

  3. Results update as you type

  4. Click log entry for details

Action Types

User Actions

  • User Created - New user registered

  • User Updated - User information changed

  • User Banned - User banned

  • User Unbanned - User unbanned

  • Role Sync - Discord roles synced

Department Actions

  • Department Created - New department created

  • Department Updated - Department settings changed

  • Department Deleted - Department removed

  • Member Added - User added to department

  • Member Removed - User removed from department

  • Rank Changed - User rank changed

Application Actions

  • Application Submitted - Application created

  • Application Approved - Application approved

  • Application Denied - Application denied

  • Application Reviewed - Application reviewed

System Actions

  • System Settings Changed - Configuration updated

  • RBAC Updated - Permissions changed

  • Business Created - New business created

  • Business Updated - Business settings changed

Access Levels

Admin Access

Admins can view:

  • All system logs

  • All user actions

  • All department actions

  • System-wide changes

Department Leader Access

Department leaders can view:

  • Department-specific logs

  • Member actions in their department

  • Department settings changes

  • Application reviews

Log Details

Viewing Log Details

Click on a log entry to view:

  • Full action description

  • User information

  • Department information

  • Timestamp

  • Additional context

Export Logs

Export logs (if available):

  1. Apply filters (optional)

  2. Click Export button

  3. Download CSV or JSON file

  4. Open in spreadsheet or JSON viewer

Troubleshooting

Logs Not Showing

Issue: No logs appear

Solutions:

  1. Check date range filters

  2. Verify user has access

  3. Check database for logs

  4. Verify audit logging is enabled

Missing Logs

Issue: Expected logs are missing

Solutions:

  1. Check action was logged

  2. Verify date range includes time period

  3. Check filters aren't excluding logs

  4. Verify audit logging was enabled at time of action
